Mmm… pie.Turkey pot pie from à la mode at the Granville Island public market to be more specific. Sure beats those frozen Swansons pot pies (occasionally on sale for $1.25 @ Superstore) that I’m accustomed too.Hearty turkey stew topped with flaky puff-pastry, with a side of vinaigrette-dressed garden salad – total comfort food baby. Like everything else at Granville Island, probably not the best bang for you buck for a meal, but that beautiful view of Yaletown ain’t free y’know.Of course, à la mode has more to their menu than savory pies. They have a variety of desserts served à la mode (duh).Check them out, preferably on sunny day.
