Hey!

I was in Burnaby a couple weeks ago running errands with my mom and ended up eating here. I sort of remembered your blog post about it, and you are right.
It's truly authentic. It felt like I was back in Taiwan or even just my own kitchen at home.

I'll need to go back again for a repeat, they were quite nice too.

Oops, I just realized the name of the greek restaurant in Richmond is Mykonos, not Minoas. I guess I was thinking of another one in Burnaby (which is ok).

Hmm, my favourite mom and pop places include:

1. Abdul's Shwarma @ Crystal Mall, Burnaby. Best shwarma's in town with a kicking hot sauce that will knock your socks off. Mostly takeout because it's just a tiny place with a few chairs and a smal counter. There's also a couple of chairs and tables outside.

2. Minoa's Greek Restaurant in the Garden City Shopping Centre in Richmond. Their greek salad is always fresh and tasty and their souvlaki is good too. The lady who runs it is very sweet. A few tables and a counter.

Ooh, we're always on the lookout for places with taiwan beef noodle! And yes, those pickled vegetables are fantastic! Still can't figure out what they are, really, and how to make them.
